A once-a-day vegan vitamin B12 capsule providing 1000 mcg of methylcobalamin, the active form, paired with whole-plant spirulina. B12 is the nutrient a fully plant-based diet has to plan for, and this capsule is the plan.
- 1000 mcg methylcobalamin
- 90 capsules, three months
- Whole-plant spirulina
- Five ingredients
-
1000 mcg of the active form. Methylcobalamin, not cyanocobalamin.
-
The energy claim, worded straight. Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.*
-
Nervous system on the label too. Vitamin B12 contributes to normal functioning of the nervous system.*
-
Spirulina, the plant-forward partner. Whole-plant spirulina, a blue-green algae, sits alongside the B12 in the same capsule.
Do you actually need a B12? Here's the thinking.
Who reaches for B12?
Mostly people eating fully or largely plant-based, because B12 is found almost entirely in animal foods; a vegan diet has to source it deliberately. This capsule makes that deliberate choice a single daily habit rather than a research assignment.
If fatigue is persistent, a supplement is not the answer to start with; a GP and a blood test are.
Why this formula
Why methylcobalamin at 1000 mcg?
It's the active form, used without conversion, and the dose is printed plainly so you know exactly what you're taking. Five ingredients in total. Nothing in the formula exists to pad the label.
Who is this NOT for?
If you already take one of our multivitamins, look at its label first: every Daily Essentials formula carries B12 as methylcobalamin already, and a second product needs its own reason. Add this one deliberately or not at all.
Benefit highlights, in full
(unedited field 4, kept for the accordion): - 1000 mcg of the active form. Methylcobalamin, not cyanocobalamin. The form the body uses directly, stated on the label at a dose you don't have to squint for. - The energy claim, worded straight. Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue*. That's the authorised wording, and it's enough. - Nervous system on the label too. Vitamin B12 contributes to normal functioning of the nervous system*, one nutrient doing named work rather than vague promises. - Spirulina, the plant-forward partner. Whole-plant spirulina, a blue-green algae, sits alongside the B12 in the same capsule. It's listed first in the ingredients; there are only five. - One capsule. Three months. 90 vegan capsules, once a day. A targeted nutrient should not become a project, so this one refuses to be.

Questions
Which form of B12 is this?
Methylcobalamin, the active form, at 1000 mcg per capsule. The alternative most products use is cyanocobalamin, which the body has to convert. Ours skips that step and says so on the label.
Is it suitable for vegans?
Yes. The capsule is hypromellose (a vegetable cellulose), the B12 source is vegan, and the whole ingredient list is five lines long. It's printed in full on this page.
What is the spirulina for?
Spirulina is a blue-green algae with a long history as a food. Here it's the whole-plant base the B12 travels with, listed first in the ingredients. We make no separate claims for it, and we won't dress it up.
Do I need this if I take a multivitamin?
Check the multivitamin's label first. Our Daily Essentials formulas already include methylcobalamin B12, so for many people this capsule would be a duplicate. It earns its place for those who want a dedicated, higher-dose B12 with a reason behind it.
Is 1000 mcg a lot?
It's a substantially higher amount than the NRV, which is common practice for B12 products; the label table states it plainly as 40,000% NRV. Follow the one-a-day direction and don't exceed it.
How do I know what's in it?
Five ingredients, all listed above, plus a nutrition table listing every form and amount from the label. Every bottle carries its batch number and best-before date.
What to expect
Days 1 to 14: Take one capsule with the same meal daily. A targeted nutrient is a steady input, and the first job is simply making it automatic.
Weeks 4 to 8: The habit has disappeared into the routine, which is the point. If you started this for a diet-shaped reason, that reason is now being met daily.
Ongoing: One bottle is three months. Set a reorder rhythm once. If you're fully plant-based, B12 is a permanent line item, not a phase.

Our in-house nutrition tip
What I look for in a B12 supplement takes about ten seconds: the form, the amount, and how much else is in the capsule. This one reads methylcobalamin, 1000 mcg, and five ingredients in total, with whole-plant spirulina as the base. That's the whole story, which is exactly what a targeted product should be. If you eat fully plant-based, a B12 habit belongs in your routine on merit. What it cannot do is diagnose why you're tired; if that's the question, take it to your GP with a blood test, not to a bottle.
