Their routine now. Here's the thinking.
Why is iron in a teen formula?
Teenage years bring growth and, for many girls, the start of periods, both of which put iron on the list worth covering. That doesn't make extra iron universal. If your teen already takes another product with iron, add the amounts together before combining, and ask your GP or pharmacist if you're unsure.
No capsule outgrows a bad week of eating: meals still do the real work.
Why this formula
Whose product is this, the parent's or the teen's?
Both, honestly. A parent buys it for the confidence of knowing the basics are covered. It only works if the teenager takes it, so the format is deliberately undemanding: one capsule with breakfast, one with dinner, done. The best outcome is the parent stops thinking about it because the teen doesn't need reminding.
Who is this NOT for?
Under 12s should use our Kids Chewable Multivitamin, dosed for their age. Teen boys who'd rather have a formula built around them can take our Teen Boys' Complete Multivitamin instead; this one is the all-teens option, not the lesser one. And from 18, the adult Daily Essentials ranges take over.
Benefit highlights, in full
(unedited field 4, kept for the accordion): - Iron, for the thinking years. Iron contributes to normal cognitive function*, and the teen years are heavy on exactly that: school, exams, learning to run your own life. - B vitamins for the everyday engine. Vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue*. Long days are the teenage default; the metabolism behind them is what these cover. - The immune basics, in one capsule. Vitamin C, vitamin D and zinc each contribute to the normal function of the immune system*, without a separate bottle for each. - Skin, covered quietly. Vitamin A, biotin and zinc each contribute to the maintenance of normal skin*. Stated exactly like that, because that is exactly what the claim allows. - A serving the teen owns. Two capsules a day with meals, one at breakfast and one at dinner per the label, from a bottle that lasts a month. Simple enough to become theirs, not another parental chase.

Directions and cautions
DIRECTIONS: Take two (2) capsules daily with a meal and a full glass of water. For best results, take one (1) capsule with breakfast and one (1) capsule with dinner. Do not exceed recommended dosage. Do not use as a substitute for a varied diet and healthy lifestyle.
Caution: Consult your doctor if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, breastfeeding or allergic to any of the ingredients. This product contains iron which if taken in excess may be harmful to very young children.

Questions
What age is this for?
Ages 12 and over, boys and girls, until the adult ranges take over at 18. For younger children, our Kids Chewable Multivitamin is dosed for them instead.
Does my teenager actually need the iron?
Not universally, and we won't pretend otherwise. Iron is included because teenage growth, and periods for many girls, make it a sensible base to cover. If another supplement in the house already contains iron, add the totals before combining, and ask your GP or pharmacist if unsure.
How do I know what's in it?
The nutrition table on this page lists every nutrient, its amount and %NRV. Every bottle carries its batch number and best-before date. Nothing is folded into a mystery blend.
Will my teen remember to take it?
That's the real question, and it's why the format is capsules with meals rather than a multi-step routine. The label's own suggestion, one capsule with breakfast and one with dinner, anchors it to meals that already happen. The aim is that the habit belongs to the teen, not to your reminders.
Is two capsules enough, or should they take more?
Two a day is the serving. More is not better, and the label's dose is the dose. If you feel your teenager needs something beyond a daily multivitamin, that's a GP conversation, not an extra capsule.
Boys' formula or this one?
Either is a complete choice. This is the all-teens formula; Teen Boys' Complete is built specifically around boys. Pick whichever your teen will actually take consistently, because consistency is the part that matters.
What to expect
Days 1 to 14: Nothing dramatic, and that's normal. A multivitamin works by steady daily intake, not a felt jolt. Help them anchor it to the same meal each day, then step back.
Weeks 4 to 8: The habit either belongs to them by now or needs a better anchor. When it sticks, the parent's job quietly disappears, which is the design.
Ongoing: One bottle is one month (30 servings at two capsules a day). Set the reorder rhythm once, or better, let the teen manage it. Owning the routine is half the point.

Our in-house nutrition tip
What I look for in a teen multivitamin is whether it respects the teenager. That means an undemanding daily serving, a label that names every amount so a curious sixteen-year-old can read it themselves, and iron included with a reason rather than a scare. This one covers the base: iron, the B vitamins, vitamins C, D and A, biotin and zinc, all at teen-appropriate amounts with every figure on the label. And to be clear about what it is not: it doesn't replace meals, sleep, or a GP visit when something is actually wrong. It covers gaps while they learn to run the rest.
