Great products!

A sufficient (25g) amount of iron per capsule. Not harming the stomach and is very friendly for the gastrointestinal tract. Helped to rise my extremely low ferritin level. Working slowly, yet working.

Very good quality

I haven't started to take this Iron yet as I still use another product, is hard to tell immediately if you see any improvements as this is a long term treatment. I study this vitamins and in my opinion there are one of the best in the market because they use very good ingredients and no chemicals where you can see in other products

Made for plates full of plants

Deciding to take iron is usually a considered step, whether a GP or midwife suggested it, your periods are heavy, or you eat mostly plants and have decided an iron supplement is right for you. If a previous iron left you feeling rough, that matters, because the form makes a real difference to how it sits with you.

The iron here is ferrous bisglycinate, iron bound to the amino acid glycine. It is chosen because it is gentle on the stomach and easy to keep taking day after day, and each capsule gives 25 milligrams. There is 50 milligrams of vitamin C alongside it, from L-ascorbate and acerola cherry, in the same capsule so the two go down together.

There is also a small blend of iron-rich plants, with beetroot, spinach, kale, chard and pumpkin. It is vegan and gluten-free, and free from soya, sugar, yeast, dairy, eggs, nuts, colourings, flavourings and preservatives.

Take one capsule a day with food and a full glass of water, which fits easily with lunch or dinner, and if swallowing capsules is not your thing you can open it and stir the powder in. As with anything containing iron, keep it well out of the reach of children.

What it supports: iron contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, to normal energy-yielding metabolism, and to normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin.

Questions

How do I take it?

One capsule a day with food and a full glass of water, which sits easily with lunch or dinner. If swallowing capsules is not for you, open it and stir the powder into yoghurt or a smoothie. Tea, coffee, and calcium or dairy at the same time can get in the way, so keep them to another time.

How much iron is in each capsule?

Each capsule has 25 milligrams of iron, as ferrous bisglycinate. The figure that matters on an iron label is the milligrams of iron itself, not the weight of the compound it comes in.

Is it vegan?

Yes. It is vegan and gluten-free, and free from soya, sugar, yeast, dairy, eggs, nuts, colourings, flavourings and preservatives. The small plant blend sits alongside the iron and vitamin C, with nothing else added.

Can I open the capsule?

Yes. If capsules are hard to swallow, open it and stir the powder into food or a drink, taken with a meal as usual. It does the same job either way, so do whichever you will actually keep up with.

Can I take it while pregnant?

Pregnancy changes what you need, and iron is one to take only on advice during it. Speak to your midwife or GP about whether extra iron is right for you and how much, and follow what they say rather than starting it on your own.

Why is there a UK sticker on the bottle?

The bottle carries its original US label, so we add a UK sticker with the nutrition information in the UK format. Go by the UK sticker.

How do I read the best before date?

It's printed month first, US style, so 03/06/2028 means 6 March 2028.

Who is it for?

Adults who have decided, or been advised, that extra iron belongs in their day, rather than anyone reaching for it just in case. If you are not sure whether you need extra iron, a quick word with your GP or pharmacist will tell you.

Can I take it with my multivitamin?

Check whether your multivitamin already contains iron, as many do, and add up what you get across everything before adding more. Do not double up without a reason, and ask a pharmacist if you are unsure.

Can I take it with my other supplements?

Usually, yes. Check the labels so you don't double up on the same nutrient, and never go over the stated dose. If you take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are under medical supervision, check with your GP or pharmacist first.

How long before I notice anything?

Everyone is different. A supplement tops up your diet day after day, so take it every day and give it a couple of months to settle into your routine.

When will it arrive?

Order by 12pm on a working day and we send it the same day. Delivery is free on every order. Standard delivery usually takes 2 to 3 working days. Orders over £50 go by free express delivery. Guernsey and Jersey take 3 to 6 working days.

How do returns work?

If it isn't right for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, even if it's opened, and we'll refund you in full. Email support@naturelo.co.uk with your order number and we'll send you a free returns label. The guarantee covers your first order of each product.

How do I change or cancel my subscription?

Log in to your account to change the date or frequency, skip a delivery, pause or cancel. There's no need to call or email us. We'll also email you 3 days before each delivery, so nothing arrives by surprise.
